How about a brief demonstration?

Put in your headphones or earplugs,
turn it to about
half volume.
Don't crank it up, it'll blow your ears out.

I did the research, so you don't have to.  I did the shopping around to figure out the best materials, so you don't have to.  I spent nearly 6 months figuring out how to put this thing together, so you don't have to.  My music room took about 4 months to build, start to finish, keeping in mind that I work full time and didn't devote ALL my time to this project.  Building this room takes some basic carpentry skills, some basic electrical skills (some of which I don't have), and lots of labor.  I don't know what your skill level is.  If your skills are better than mine, then your room will probably be better than mine is.  If your skills aren't quite up to snuff, recruit help from someone who's good at remodeling.  If you're a weekend remodeling warrior, this project is for you.  It's not complicated.  But it is rewarding.
